Delightful 2 bedroom house, built during the 18th. century and fully modernised leaving many unique original features. Adjacent to our principle residence the property overlooks the centre of the village with views of the magnificent 11th. Century Abbey Church, Restaurant and Cafe/Bar


 There is a Supermarket, Bank, Pharmacy, Doctors, Hairdressers etc. 5Kms away in Beaumont du Perigord.


St Avit Senieur is renowned as a centre for walking and cycling holidays with many interesting tracks and ancient roads. The Abbey and Church has been designated a UNESCO World Heritage site as it was an important refuge for pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostelle in northern Spain. The house consists of:-

Kitchen/Dining/Living room of 30 sq.m with access to a private garden and stone veranda. Stairs lead to a large first floor bedroom of 20 sq.m with King size bed and family shower room and toilet. Stairs to an attic bedroom with two single beds suitable for children or occasional adult use.


Equipped with:-

Washing machine, dishwasher, electric oven and hob, fridge/freezer, combination grill/microwave, BBQ and all usual small appliances. Digital LCD TV with free to view English and French channels and a iPod/iPhone docking station/radio HiFi. Unlimited WiFi broadband Internet access is available free of charge. Towels, linen, power and light is included all year. A drying room for clothes and foot ware is available in the main house on the rare occasion of inclement weather, and secure bike storage available for the more active guests.


 Bergerac airport is 30 mins. drive away and car hire is recommended as there is no public transport available in the village. A collection service from the airport or local railway stations can be provided, with adequate prior notice


On arrival you will find a few essentials are already stocked in the house, wine, tea/coffee and condiments, as well as loo rolls, kitchen roll etc. The cafe/bar "Chez Cathy et Denis" is open 6 days and is highly recommended by locals and the owners for delightful local cuisine, home made pizzas and snacks. Daily baked fresh bread can be made to order

The restaurant "Table de Leo" is open for lunch and dinner for more formal dining during  the season but times may vary, again recommended for basic French cuisine.
